Need Diapers?

Okay so there are new coupons out on coupons.com and there are some GREAT Huggies diapers ones. $5 off and $3 off. Once the print limit is reached you won't be able to print these anymore so go on there right away and print them off. Remember you can print it twice (two per computer.) And it gets better. The week of 3/8 there will be a Register rewards promotion at Walgreens where if you buy $25 in Huggies products you get $10 in Register Rewards back. The jumbo packs will be on sale for $10 each. With three of these coupons you can get three jumbo packs for $5 after coupons and register rewards!!

I don't know how these bloggers know all this stuff beforehand but I am glad they do! Thanks to CommonSenseWithMoney for this one.

Macey's Pizza Deal

Rebecca just emailed me with a Macey's deal I hadn't noticed.

"On the back page of the Macey's ad that they are selling a pizza stone for $13.88 (save for a gift?) and get a Palermo's pizza, Texas Toast, and a Dole Salad for free."

I might have to do that as well. Thanks Rebecca! Great idea!

So Far This Week

I signed up to review books for Thomas Nelson Publishers so I have a free DVD/Book coming in the mail to me.

I got a code for a free sub from Quizno's for both Dave and myself. And I also got a coupon for a free Roast Burger at Arby's when you buy a drink which Dave has already used and said was a great deal.

I got a free thing of Enfamil in the mail which was great for a couple reasons. 1) I had no idea it was coming and 2) I noticed this morning I was almost out and was going to have to run to the store in the next day or 2 to get more for Kyle.

I ordered a 3 piece red spatula set (which I desperately needed because Dave used my old ones in the blender) for only $1. Check out Hip2Save to see how.

I ordered the Utah 2009 Happenings book which cost me $16 OOP but I will get $15 back from CashBaq. Check out Frugal4ABusyLife to find out how.

I went to Target and got Ten 12 count boxes of pop-tarts for $8. Check out this post from CommonSenseWithMoney to see how.

I got restaurant.com's 12 month Dinner of the Month Club for 80% off using the code DINE at check out. This gives me one $25 restaurant gift card each month (which can be used at a number of restaurants) plus as a bonus I got a free $50 gift card just for signing up. Guess how much this cost me? $24!! Check out MomsByHeart to see how this works.

MomsByHeart also blogged about how you can get THREE Bath and Body Works Signature Collection Items for the price of ONE. Check that out HERE.

Free Books/DVDs from Thomas Nelson Publishers

I found this on afrugalfriend this morning. Thomas Nelson Publishers is looking for bloggers to read and review select books and DVDs. If you are accepted as a reviewer (which I was in minutes) they send you the book and in return they ask you to read/watch the product and post a review on your blog. I requested the "Read and Share DVD Bible". I will of course let you know what I think of it once I get it. And once I post a review I can go and request another book.

This is why I do this!

Watch this video to see why taking the time to clip those coupons and follow the bloggers advice is worth it!

Feeling just a little bit FAMOUS!

So my dear friend Kelly who I used to work at ADP with forever ago came across this blog and actually believed me enough to test this out at Albertson's this week. It worked for her! (of course) I am so happy to be able to share what I have learned and help others cut their grocery budget drastically! Here is a link to her blog and the deal she got. Love you Kelly!

Albertson's Stock up Sale

Albertson's is fast becoming my favorite store for stocking up because they have such great promotions. This week is GREAT! These deals you have to see to believe, hence the picture!

There promotion this week is buy any 10 participating items, get $10 back. So I did 6 different transactions with 10 items in each. The Albertson's I went to (70th and Redwood) was fully stocked in everything and the checker there was SO COOL! Here's what I did:

1st transaction:

10 Betty Crocker Cake Mixes

2nd transaction:

10 Progresso Soups (These you can get for free with coupons which you can get at THIS link.)

3rd transaction:

9 Betty Crocker Warm Delights

1 Betty Crocker Cake Mix

4th transaction:

8 Betty Crocker Premium Brownie Mixes

2 Chex Mix Snack Packs

5th transaction:

2 Pillsbury Grands Bisquits

2 Pillsbury Toaster Strudels

2 Betty Crocker Cookie Mixes

4 Betty Crocker Cake Mixes

6th transaction:

6 Betty Crocker frostings

2 Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls

2 Pillsbury Crescent Rolls

I used the $10 Catalina that printed out on each order to use on the next order. I actually got the stuff for the first three transactions, did those and then took that stuff out to my car and went back in. I felt bad doing 6 transactions in a row although I really could've because the store was really empty and the checker was so cool.

In the end, all this cost me $22.26!

Without the coupons and a little planning before hand, this would've cost me $156. A lot of these coupons were internet printables so check out the post below and go to iamfrugal's post to print out the coupons. Anyone can do this!

$.50 or Less Shopping

Wow! MomsByHeart has a great post that shows by store what you can get for almost nothing. I might have to look through the Walmart list and make a trip in.

What can you get for $20?

What can you get for $20 these days? Not much right? I used to feel that way. Here's what I got at Walgreens yesterday for LESS THEN $20.
4 bags of Hershey's candies
6 tubes of Colgate Toothpaste
4 Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaners
2 Lysol All Purpose Cleaners
2 Lysol Antibacterial Kitchen Cleaners
2 Lysol Bathroom Cleaners
2 Yes To Carrots Lip Butters
The last couple weeks Walgreens has had great deals on cleaning supplies. Guess that means I should clean my house. I will eventually :)

Target

I have found Target to be a great place to get snacks. Who ever would've thought of buying your food at Target? I certainly never did before.

Here is what I got:

4 bags of Goldfish crackers (which I originally started getting for Kyle but I think Dave likes them the best) - 66 cents each
4 Boxes of Kashi cereal bars (Kyle had one for lunch and seemed to love it) - 29 cents each
1 V8 V-Fusion Peach Mango Juice - $1.49
4 Boxes of Kelloggs PopTarts - 67 cents each

All this cost me $8.

Check out Hip2Save and CommonSenseWithMoney for Target deals and coupon links.

And while I was out I used this code M7DM23 and got a free movie out of RedBox. They have these every week!

Cereal + More Today

Crazy morning. Carpool, Gym, quick shower, and I was able to make two store trips this morning on my way to pick up the Kindergarteners.

First to Smiths:

They have the buy 10 participating items get $3 off instantly. One thing to note, you can do this three times in the same transaction so you can get 30 qualifying products in the same transaction. I did 20 items.

First I did the 5 GM cereals and 5 BC fruit snacks that I figured out below.
Then I did 10 Kroger Salad Dressings because we go through Ranch like crazy!
And I also got 4 boxes of Kroger Instant Oatmeal (since Kyle is eating that for breakfast these days and it's way cheaper then tons of tiny jars of baby food).
In the end I got these 24 items for a final cost of about $25!

Then I went to Albertsons to return something and figured I'd check out there 50% off Kelloggs cereal deal. I had some good $1.50/2 coupons so I thought it was worth checking out. Most of the cereals were too expensive to start to make it worth while but they did have Raisin Bran for $1.85 so with the coupons it was worth it, especially since I pretty much stick to Cheerios and Raisin Bran.

In the end I got 4 boxes of Kelloggs Raisin Bran for $4.58.

I guess I will have to relax the rule that Brandon can only have cereal every other day. We have LOTS of it in food storage. Growing up we were only allowed to have cereal on Sunday's because it is so expensive. Doesn't have to be does it?

Free Coupon Booklets

So we all have to clean our house (or so they say) and a lot of you have babies so check out this link HERE and request some free coupon booklets. I already got the P&G book and it's really great. I have already used some of them.

Thanks to StretchingABuck.

Date Deals

Free entree at TGIFridays (not good on V-day)

And I am going to do this Wags deal to get the two free movie tickets.

With both Valentines Day and my Birthday coming up this will be nice!

Cereal Deals (starting Wed)

I did this research for Alisa who happens to be married to my brother, the cereal junkie. She always needs to stock up on cereal and here are the best deals I found this week:

Reams sale is 4/$10 - no deal, most expensive to start out.
Wags sale is 3/$7 which ends up being 3/$6 after $1 RR but again not the cheapest starting point and you have to mess with only three at a time and RR and all that.

Smiths seems to have the best deal this week. Here is some scenarios:

They have a list of items where if you buy 10 of these items you get the $3 back instantly. I figured this with my coupons so it might be slighty different for you but should be close. They are the cheapest to start out so the best deal.

Buy 10 GM Cereals. Card price is $1.99 but with the $3 back instantly so long as you buy 10 qualifying items it works out to be $1.69 each.
- $5.80 in coupons
= $11.10 or $1.11/bag

Buy 6 GM Cereals
- $3.80 in coupons
and 4 Ragu Pasta Sauces
- $1 in coupons
= $10.90 or $1.09/box or jar

Buy 5 GM Cereals
- $3.25 in coupons
and 5 Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks
- $1.25 in coupons
- $3.50 Catalina OYNO prints out when you buy 5 BC Fruit Snacks
= $7.90 or 79 cents/box

These were the items that were in the buy 10 category that I had coupons for. Just depends on what you have coupons for and what you need.

Then in order to use the $5/$25 I went ahead and threw in 2 Herbal Essences Shampoos and 2 Conditioners. They have those on sale 2/$6.
I had two $3/2 coupons which made these 4 items only $6.
I figured it was worth it to get my total up to $25 and be able to use the $5 off coupon.
In the end, I got two shampoos and two conditioners for $1.
Well worth throwing those in.

Final cost after rebates and coupons was a PROFIT of $1.94!

BTW - I did return the two packs of diapers that I got there last week. I found a much better deal at Albertson's.
They had their huge box of size 3 Huggies (168 diapers) for $29.99.
I used a $1.50 of coupon from Sunday's paper.
This ended up cheaper then doing the Rite Aid's rebates.

Why?

Why create this site? Well I have decided that rather then post all my frugal deals on our family blog I would just create a seperate site to post deals worth sharing and then anyone that is interested can check it out. This will make it easier for me to share my good deals with my family and friends who are either expert couponers or just learning the ropes. I will post about the deals I get and often times just link you to the site where I found out about these on my own since more often then not, I am not the brains behind the bargain. (Or maybe the real reason is just that I want something pink on my site for once as opposed to all the blue and green I am surrounded by with three boys!)

I will start by posting the deal I got at Rite Aid last night. They had all their CG Cosmetics for B1G1FREE so I got 2 foundations and 2 eyeshadows. These came to just over $20. Since they had their B1G1 sale going on those $20 only cost $10. Then I had a get $5 when you buy $20 coupon (the $20 amount is before coupons or B1G1FREE deals) for Rite Aid which you can print out here. Plus I had 4 CG coupons from the 2/1 Sunday paper which totalled up to $7 off. So after that I ended up making money on these items.

I also found that they had a lot of their Nexxus shampoos and conditioners (which are normally way too rich for my blood) on clearance for 50% off. They have a $7 rebate when you purchase two Nexxus items so I got two shampoos which are the least expensive. They were each $4.49 so I spent $8.98 OOP and will get $7 back from RiteAid. Not a bad price for two high end shampoos!

In the end, I got $42 worth of products for $3. Not a bad haul!

And here is a great meal deal for those days when you just don't have time or the desire to cook. Thanks to hip2save, my very most favorite frugal sight.
