Rite Aid 10/23

I finally made it in to Rite Aid this week. Again this week they had a lot of cold medicine type items free after rebate that I wanted to get. I was waiting in hopes that my rebate check from last month would come so I could use that to pay my OOP but when it didn't come today I just went anyway. Something to make note of. Rite Aid will send you a rebate check for the rebates you earn each month. This is a real check so you can take it to the bank, deposit it, cash it, whatever. Or you can spend it at Rite Aid. This is what I usually do. And the nice thing is that if you had a $20 rebate check and your OOP for a transaction only came to $9 they would give you the extra $11 back in cash. I do have a $20 Fall Gift of Savings coupon that I was going to use today but with those kind of rebate programs they can't give you cash back. So today, I did 2 transactions but after all my coupons my OOP total per transaction was always well below $20 so I didn't even end up using it. Guess I could've gone early in the week after all. :)

I got all of the above for $21.80 OOP and I will get back $50.92 in rebates. That makes this trips' total a profit of $29.12 with savings of $27 in coupons.

I was also able to use three of the Rite Aid Welness+ coupons for $2 off any Cough & Cold OTC medication with a price of $2 or more. Hip2Save posted about these coupons HERE. Now, according to Hip2Save these are only good in certain areas: Greensboro NC, Harrisburg PA, San Diego CA or Buffalo NY. But if you read the posts you will see that people have been able to use these coupons just fine in other areas. I printed them out and took them in with me to see if they would work and I had no trouble using them. But, for some reason, one of them scanned but the other 2 didn't. But I had a great checker who had no problem entering them manually. This may be a YMMV thing.

Final OOP cost $12.13 ($25.46 in rebates from this transaction)
